Hull Pirates 2018/2019

The past few weeks have been some of the toughest, decision wise, that the Hull Pirates have had to face. We recently applied to move back into the Elite League, during the process we looked at the finances of a move, which we were more than happy with. We also scoped out professionalising the organisation by bringing in a corporate marketing manager, again, we have found someone who is the right fit. We also had in place vehicles, houses and all of the other pieces which make up an Elite organisation. We felt, organisationally, that we were more than ready to make the move back into the Elite League.

However, there was a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the medium and long term plans for ice rinks within the city. When we started making enquiries it became apparent that there is no clear direction surrounding seating capacity, whether it will be built or if we will remain in the existing building.
